Is paw balm good for hot pavement?
Is paw balm good for hot pavement?
Yes — summer is one of the best times to use it. Swipe a thin layer onto your dog's or cat's pads before a walk and it forms a breathable barrier that helps shield them from hot pavement, sand, and rough ground. A helpful tip for new pet parents: think of balm as added protection, not a green light for any surface. Press the back of your hand to the pavement for about 7 seconds — if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws, so save walks for early morning, evening, or shadier routes when you can.
Does it have a scent or leave a greasy mess?
Does it have a scent or leave a greasy mess?
It has a light, natural scent, goes on colorless, and absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue on your floors, furniture, or your hands.
How big is the stick and how long does it last?
How big is the stick and how long does it last?
Each stick is 2.6 oz — pocket-sized and travel-friendly. For a medium-sized pet used a few times a week, one stick commonly lasts one to several months, depending on paw condition and how generously you apply.
Can I use this on my cat?
Can I use this on my cat?
Yes. It's safe for both cats and dogs over 8 weeks old. Because it's 100% food-grade and lick-safe, there's no worry if your cat grooms the spot afterward. Use it on clean & dry paw pads, a rough nose, or flaky skin — apply a thin layer and let them go about their day.
What's the difference between a paw balm stick and a tin?
What's the difference between a paw balm stick and a tin?
It's all about how you apply it. The twist-up stick is the mess-free way to use our balm — swipe it straight onto paws, nose, or elbows with no dipping your fingers into a tin. And if you'd rather massage it in by hand or work it into a tight spot, our 2.1 oz Pawsher tin does the same job in a scoopable format.

Jamie My dog hates her paws being touched, but loves when I the paw balm on her. It's in a easy to use stick for convenience and I dont need to get my hands dirty. The ingredients are good, and the smell is wonderful. Sandy approved!

Vince I got this for one of our dogs that has a constantly dry nose and paws. It worked well to heal up his paws.

Tarin Just what my girl needed!!She has had a dry crusty spot on her elbow for a long time, but recently has begun to lick and try biting it causing it to bleed. So this seemed like the perfect solution. It has a bunch of awesome ingredients and smells soooo good!! It was easy to apply, I just used it like a deodorant stick and rubbed it on her and then I used my fingers and rubbed it in. It smelled so good I just knew she would immediately lick it off, but to my surprise she did not!! I have a good feeling that this is going to work just fine for her cracked area.

B & L I’m all about using homeopathic ingredients on myself and my animals. The paw balm is more of an ointment type of consistency. When twisting the bottom the ointment goes up, but when twisting to bring it down it doesn’t quite retract back into the container (I think because the consistency isn’t a full solid). I use my fingers to massage the balm into my dog’s paw pads, so I don’t mind the design flaw and just pushed the remaining amount back into the container. I was surprised how quickly the paw balm absorbs into the paw pads and that it didn’t leave a mess on furniture or floor. It’s not sticky and I already noticed some improvement to my pup’s dry paw pads. It has a nice smell and is colorless.

Justadogmom This has all the good stuff in it. Ingredients I use for myself actually. It’s got a coconut scent which I like. The stick applicator is perfect for applying this on wiggly dogs.It does seem prone to melting I’m guessing because of the coconut oil it just does that.I may try putting it the fridge. It may actually feel nice that way.I tested this on myself and it’s not to greasy and absorbed very fast.I’m extra happy it’s safe for the dog to lick
