Lick-safe ingredients
Pennsylvania Family-owned
Deters bugs instead of attracting them — lavender botanical repels mosquitoes and gnats, unlike fruity sprays that draw them in.
Lick-safe & food-grade — every ingredient is safe if your pet grooms themselves after spraying
Safe for dogs AND cats — puppies 12 weeks+, seniors, sensitive skin, and felines
Soothes itchy skin between baths — aloe, colloidal oatmeal, calendula and vitamin E
Calming lavender aromatherapy — soothes nervous pets before vet visits, car rides and storms
30-second no-rinse refresh — between baths, after walks, the dog park, or before long car rides
Free from the stuff that shouldn't be in pet care — no synthetic fragrance, no alcohol, no parabens, no sulfates, no phthalates, no artificial dyes, and no sweet/fruity scent profiles that attract bugs. If we wouldn't spray it on Simba and Fudge, it doesn't go in the bottle.
Our natural formula is gentle on the most sensitive pets
What's in it and is it safe?
What's in it and is it safe?
The entire ingredient list is 8 items: purified water, colloidal oatmeal, vitamin E, aloe vera, Panthenol (Provitamin B5), botanical fragrance of lavender, calendula, and citric acid (preservative). Pawsher is lick-safe if your pup or kitty grooms themselves after a spritz.
What you won't find: synthetic fragrance, fragrance oils, alcohol, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or artificial dyes.
My dog and cat have sensitive skin / allergies. Will Pawsher cause a reaction?
My dog and cat have sensitive skin / allergies. Will Pawsher cause a reaction?
Pawsher was originally created for our two chocolate labs — Fudge, who has allergies, and Simba, who has congenital kidney disease. Both conditions made us pickier than the average pet brand: skin allergies meant avoiding the usual irritants (alcohol, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, dyes, synthetic fragrance), and congenital kidney disease meant ruling out any compound that could stress the kidneys during metabolism — including things your dog might absorb through skin or ingest while grooming. That is why every ingredient is lick-safe. If your pet has had reactions to other grooming sprays, do a patch test first — mist a small area on the inside of a hind leg and check after 24 hours before doing a full application.
How is this different from other dog deodorizing sprays?
How is this different from other dog deodorizing sprays?
Two big differences.
First, ours is lick-safe — most competitors use synthetic fragrance oils and harsh chemicals that aren't safe if licked.
Second, our lavender naturally deters mosquitoes and gnats, while most other's use fruity-scented sprays (kiwi, vanilla, coconut, melon) that actually attract them because the scent mimics flowers and fruit in nature
Why is the scent so light compared to other dog sprays?
Why is the scent so light compared to other dog sprays?
That's by design — and it's one of the most important things to know about Pawsher. Real lavender botanical (what we use) smells pleasant for a few hours and then fades naturally, the way real botanicals do. The sprays that smell strong all week are using synthetic fragrance oils with chemical fixatives engineered to lock scent into fur for days — those are the same compounds that can irritate sensitive skin and aren't lick-safe if your pet grooms themselves. If you want a fresher boost before company arrives or a vet visit, just mist again. Pawsher is gentle enough for daily use.
How often can I spray it?
How often can I spray it?
Once or twice a week for most pets is plenty. You can use it more often — after a rainy walk, a dog-park visit, or before a long car ride — since the formula is sulfate- and alcohol-free and won't dry out the coat. Daily use is fine when the situation calls for it.

Madison S. Straus I've been using this product to give my fur a quick refresh between grooming sessions, and it's been doing the trick. The lavender scent is pleasant and not overpowering, and it effectively eliminates odors without lingering too long. It's been a handy addition to my routine, keeping me smelling fresh for a bit longer.

ML I've been using a "deodorant" for my dog everyday since we got it. We wash his pas and private part with water after every walk. needless to say that after a while a lingering odor of "wet dog" becomes present. therefore the deodorant. This spay smalls nice. it masks the wet dog smell really well. like similar products, it's not 100% efficient but does a decent job at masking the smells. It did not cause any allergy on my dog. all good from my side.

VineyardCow I'm completely new to being a dog person. I've always preferred cats because dogs have always just had a smell that I didn't like. Last year, someone abandoned some dogs at my workplace, and I ended up taking them home. I still have one that has grown very close to my heart, but he mostly stays outside and has that typical doggy funk. This is great for mitigating some of that, and is a nice, fresh bonus when we do give him a nice bath. We like it!

Katie Sullivan Bradford I hate the smell of a dirty dog, and this definitely helped me spread out the time between baths! Easy to spray on, and gave me a couple of extra weeks. It was a nice light lavendar smell, and stuck to my dog for a few days. Super happy with the result!!
